Playing Fields Extension

By Dr Peter Gangemi - Mayor of The Hills Shire Council
Work has now commenced to extend the southern fields at Kenthurst Park to accommodate two full-sized playing fields.

In addition to the extension, drainage and irrigation works will be carried out, as well as the construction of a retaining wall with ball screen/safety fencing at the eastern field. Floodlighting, a sports storage shed and soft field landscaping works will also be completed as part of upgrades.

These follow on from work that has already been completed, including the upgrades to the car park, tennis court refurbishments, installation of new cricket nets, upgrades to the sports field lighting to the northern sport field, as well as a new wastewater treatment system and accessible amenities building.

The field extension will finalise this upgrade and will increase the capacity of play, which is great news for residents and sporting clubs in the area.
I’m looking forward to residents and teams such as Kenthurst & District Football Club and Kenthurst Upper Hills Cricket Club using this upgraded facility very soon.
