NSW Ambulance Quiet Hero Tiana
Tiana, Interaction’s Goal Kicker of the Year has been recognised by NSW Ambulance for her calm and collected response in an emergency.
It started out as any other excursion, but for Tiana, it was a day she’s unlikely to forget. During a visit to Bella Vista Farm in May, Tiana’s support worker, Balinda, collapsed and started to have a seizure.
Remembering her basic first aid training, Tiana was able to place Balinda into the recovery position and stay with her while someone called Triple Zero (000).
Today, NSW Ambulance’s Chief Superintendent Ian Johns presented Tiana with a certificate of recognition at Interaction Disability Services. Great work, Tiana.
“Congratulations Tiana. This recognition is very well deserved! ” Dr Peter Gangemi said.
