NorthConnex Final Breakthrough

I was delighted to welcome my State and Federal colleagues to the area to witness the NorthConnex final breakthrough. This tremendous occasion marked the completion of tunnelling as part of the $3 billion joint-funded project.

The traffic busting project will deliver enormous benefits to people who live and work in the Berowra electorate by removing 5,000 trucks off Pennant Hills Road daily. This will transform the area by decongesting traffic and fast-tracking travel time on the roads by 15 minutes. Reaching the final breakthrough milestone means the twin nine-kilometre tunnels are ready to be paved so residents can get home faster and safer.

Pennant Hills Demons Presentation Night

I was also honoured to present awards to outstanding members of the Pennant Hills Demons Junior AFL Club. The Club is over 50 years old and has a proud history of developing high performing junior players and elevating them onto the lists of major AFL football clubs. Congratulations to all the award recipients as well as Joel Steward, Senior Club Person of the Year and Joel Cousens who was awarded Junior Club Person of the Year.

Rovers Scouts 100th Birthday

I would like to congratulate the Rovers Scouts Australia NSW Branch on their centenary. I was honoured to celebrate the milestone 100th anniversary with local Rover crews from Berowra, Mt Colah/Mt Ku-ring-gai and Normanhurst Crews.

Rovers deliver a vital community service. They help shape our future leaders, encourage personal value development, teach new skills, and provide a fun and supportive environment where young men and women can grow and build lifelong friendships. I would like to congratulate the Rover crews for their remarkable contribution to the community and their unwavering commitment to the principle of service.
