New Coles Box Hill at Carmel Village Shopping Centre
As part of an ongoing investment in Sydney’s rapidly expanding northwest, Coles has created 120 new jobs in Box Hill with the opening of their store at the brand new Carmel Village Shopping Centre.
The new Coles store has an open-front bakery, with gourmet sourdough bread and hot flatbread flipped daily and an extensive patisserie and cake range. The large deli features local and imported cheeses, cured meats and seafood on ice. With a focus on convenience, the store has been configured so that Coles’ much-loved RSPCA-approved hot roast chickens, hot roast beef, and hot roast lamb are available at the front of the store, making dinners easy for busy families. In addition hot convenience snacks such as popcorn chicken are ready for customers to grab and go. The store also offers an authentic Indian grocery range and an extensive selection of ready-made meals including lasagnes and curries for added at-home convenience and. Furry friends haven’t been forgotten either; there’s a pet treat station with a pick and mix selectin of tasty treats for cats and dogs.
Tying into Coles’ focus on sustainability, customers have the option to use free cardboard boxes to take their groceries home. The boxes are housed in a dedicated unit at the front of the store, which is also made out of 100% post-consumer plastics. As part of Coles’ ambition to become Australia’s most sustainable supermarket, Coles Box Hill Carmel Village will be working toward zero waste and zero hunger, through community partnerships with the food rescue organisation SecondBite which collects surplus fresh food from the supermarket at the end of each day and redistributes it to those in need.
The new supermarket is complemented by a sleek new Liquorland store to give customers a single, convenient destination for food and drinks.
A Click & Collect service is available at the store, where customers can save time by ordering their groceries and liquor online from Coles Online and have them brought out to their car boot at the store, with dedicated parking bays for Click & Collect customers. Coles Online vans will also deliver directly to customers homes.
Coles Box Hill can be found at the new Carmel Village Shopping Centre on the corner of Mount Carmel Drive and Windsor Road. Trading hours are 7am – 10pm every day.
