New Bligh Park Playground

Colonial Reserve Bligh Park Playground – Work has begun!!!

This morning the council began removing the playground on Neptune Crescent in Colonial Reserve, Bligh Park. Over the next few days we will take down the equipment, level the site and returf the area.

Then start preparing for the exciting new playground on the opposite side of Colonial Reserve, fronting Colonial Drive, next to the amenities building. They will be using soil excavated from the new playground site to level the site on Neptune Crescent before they returf to ensure they leave the old playground site in the best possible condition for the community to use.

The community told their Option 1 was their favourite playground option and that is what they are about to start building!! The new playground should be ready in time for the school holidays. They will invite the community along to a special event to celebrate this great new playground.
