Nature-Themed Reserve On The Way For Withers Road

Construction has begun on a new nature-themed reserve and play area located in North Kellyville, which will offer endless hours of enjoyment for visitors and serve as a habitat for local wildlife.

The newly established Withers Road Reserve will feature a nature-inspired playground with a shade sail that caters to a broad range of age groups and abilities. Additionally, the Reserve will house a half basketball court, a turf kick-about area, and concrete pathways perfect for children to ride their bikes, skateboards or scooters.

A significant portion of the on-site vegetation will be preserved to create a habitat for birds, insects, and lizards, while also serving as a serene green space where the local community can unwind and appreciate the lush picnic areas.

Dr. Peter Gangemi, Mayor of The Hills Shire, expressed pride in the council’s efforts to establish an interactive play area that also enables visitors to connect with nature in a space where natural flora and fauna can thrive. “We know how important our green spaces are for our health and wellbeing, and how popular they are with our residents,” Mayor Gangemi said. “Once complete, this facility will provide a fun place where families and friends can spend time together out in nature, in the heart of North Kellyville.”
