In the spirit of the holiday season, our meeting had a special theme: Finding the Missing Santa! Santa had mysteriously vanished, and it was up to our clever Hawkesbury Valley Toastmasters members to solve the mystery.

The twist? Four suspects were at the heart of the investigation: The innocent Elf (Debbie), the diligent Toymaker (Mick), the mischievous Frosty The Snowman (Ramalka) and the fearless Reindeer Trainer (Michelle).

Each suspect presented their case during the meeting, weaving clues and alibis into their speeches. The members, acting as detectives, listened intently, noting every detail to figure out who might be guilty of Santa’s disappearance.

The room buzzed with laughter and intrigue as creative speeches brought the suspects to life. Some suspects sounded innocent, while others raised eyebrows with their suspicious stories! Evidence was revealed in snippets, from a broken piece of the sleigh to a crumpled note with Santa’s handwriting, keeping everyone on their toes.

Between rounds of speeches and table topics, the fun escalated as members debated and shared theories about who could have kidnapped Santa. Everyone voted on who they thought was the culprit based on the evidence presented.

In a surprising twist at the end, it was revealed that Santa had orchestrated the entire mystery as part of a clever plan to test the honesty and integrity of his teammates.

Rather than actually going missing, Santa wanted to see how each team member would react under scrutiny and whether they would stay truthful while being questioned as suspects. Brad Howard, the Christmas master of the day, was the brilliant mastermind working behind the scenes to assist Santa!

This playful yet meaningful event highlighted the importance of trust and honesty within the team, even in the face of tricky situations. The revelation brought laughter and a sense of relief, as everyone realized the ‘missing Santa’ was never really missing and it was all part of a festive and thought-provoking lesson!

The meeting ended on a high note, with smiles all around and a newfound appreciation for teamwork and truthfulness. Santa had successfully spread not only holiday cheer, but also an important reminder about the values that bind us together.
