Miraculous Crash on Old Northern Road, Baulkham Hills
A serious crash occurred on Old Northern Road near Hill St, Baulkham Hills, yesterday evening, 5 November.
The Hills Police Area Command say details are still emerging, but initial reports indicate that one vehicle was completely cut in half while the back end was down the side of a house.
Miraculously, the 18-year-old male driver of the 2004 Mazda walked away from the scene.
However, he was arrested after returning a positive roadside breath test. He was taken to Castle Hill Police Station by Traffic and Highway Patrol Command – NSW Police Force, where he returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.110.
His licence was immediately suspended, and he was charged with Mid Range Drink Driving and will appear in Parramatta Local Court on 11 December 2024
The 45-year-old driver of the other vehicle has been conveyed to the hospital as a precaution. The Hills Police urge anyone with dashcam footage or CCTV of the incident to contact The Hills Highway Patrol.
