Mini Museum Project

Hawkesbury Regional Museum is offering a free trial of its new program – mini Museum- for people living with dementia and their carers…

These travelling mini Museum boxes will provide a much needed service to people living with dementia and their carers across Hawkesbury. This program will allow participants to engage in multi-sensory activities and object handling that encourage learning, connection & cognitive stimulation, as well as reminiscence.

The first box, In the School Yard, will be made available for free to a select number of nursing homes, aged-cared facilities and community groups to gain vital feedback on the program. More boxes are due to be released from Summer 2022.
