Man Charged Over 50 Alleged Break And Enters

A man will face court today charged with 50 alleged property offences across Sydney following an investigation by officers attached to The Hills Police Area Command.

Earlier this year, officers from The Hills Proactive Crime Team commenced an investigation into a series of alleged break and enter offences on commercial premises across The Hills area.

Following extensive inquiries, officers were able to link offences in The Hills area to similar break and enter offences within The Hills, Mt Druitt, Burwood, Leichhardt, Nepean, Parramatta, Northern Beaches, Riverstone, Ryde, Hawkesbury and Cumberland Police Area Commands.

Earlier today (Tuesday, 16 July 2024), police arrested a 35-year-old man and a 44-year-old woman at a hotel on Boundary Road at Vineyard.

During the search of the room, police allegedly located and seized several items linked to offences allegedly committed at Bankstown, Marsden Park and Kellyville.

A 35-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Castle Hill Police Station, where he was charged with 50 counts of break, enter and steal and breach of bail.

The 44-year-old woman was taken to Riverstone Police Station, where she was charged with breach of bail.

The man was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Tuesday (16 July 2024).

The woman was also refused bail to appear at Blacktown Local Court on Tuesday (16 July 2024).
