Man Arrested after attempting to steal from car

The Hills Police have reported that a Man arrested after attempting to steal from a motor vehicle parked at Kellyville Metro Carpark.

At 7.00am 5/12/22, a male was allegedly seen attempting to break into a vehicle at the Metro Carpark. The owner of the vehicle has restrained the male, called police, who arrested him a short time later. He is currently at Castle Hill Police Station assisting with enquiries.

Hills Police stated that they don’t encourage the community to detain and or restrain people who have committed offences, as the owner was assaulted.  They commended his actions, dealing with this person on his own – good work.
