Question: Are you paid as an on call firefighter?
Answer: On call firefighters are paid for attendance at incidents, training sessions, community safety and education activities.
Time commitments will vary at each fire station however, you will be required to attend two hours training each fortnight and respond to incidents to suit station needs.
On-call firefighters play a crucial role in protecting people, property and the environment in their local communities.
Training is provided on an ongoing basis and covers all aspects of firefighting and rescue including basic life support, rope work, power tool use and community engagement skills.
