Half a million dollars in funding is available to Hawkesbury sports clubs as part of the NSW Government’s Local Sport Defibrillator Grant Programme.
Member for Hawkesbury Dominic Perrottet said the funding was announced as part of Round 3 of the NSW Government’s four-year, $4 million
“Sport is a vital part of the Hawkesbury community,”
“It’s critical that our local sport and recreation facilities are equipped with this life-saving equipment and I urge local sports
Minister for Sport, Stuart Ayres said the programme was about ensuring clubs were equipped to respond to
“Early access to a defibrillator can significantly increase a person’s chances of survival in the event of a cardiac arrest,”
“That’s why the NSW Government is supporting NSW sporting
Eligible sports clubs and
Since the commencement of the programme in 2017, the NSW Government has committed to provide $985,000 to sport and recreation facilities to assist with the purchase of 780 defibrillators.
