Budget provides upgrades and improvements to facilities in Greenway
Last year For Greenway’s better local listing, when the people of Western Sydney were confined to a 5km radius during lockdowns, it became clear many families didn’t have the local infrastructure they needed.
As the region continues to grow, with suburbs like Riverstone expected to grow by 318% by 2040, the government needs to ensure families have sufficient local infrastructure.
The 2022-23 Budget confirmed key commitments for Western Sydney, including:
1. New and upgraded play spaces across Schofields, Tallawong, Riverstone and Grantham Farm;
2. Fencing to make existing play spaces safer in the areas of Parklea, Seven Hills, Lalor Park, Quakers Hill and Kings Langley;
3. A new and exciting community water play area to be located in Schofields; and
4. District scale walking trails in Lalor Park, Quakers Hill and Grantham Farm to help better connect residents to Greenway’s local active transport networks.
“As always, I’ll keep our community updated on the progress of these projects and look forward to seeing these projects come to life! ” said Michelle Rowland MP
