Hills United Gain More Honours
Hills United FC are kicking higher this season after taking out four major titles in the 2023 football season.
After storming to the FNSW League 1 Men’s title, they captured a further three awards at the annual presentation held recently by Football NSW.
Men’s coach Luke Casserly was recognised as the FNSW League 1 Men’s Coach of the Year, with coaching regarded as “one of the toughest jobs in football”.
Ryan Woods was awarded the Goalkeeper of the Year trophy while the champion Hills United men’s squad came home with the coveted Fair Play Award 2023. This is surely one of their finest seasons and underlines the depth and commitment of the players, coaching staff, volunteers, and committee throughout the busy season.
Congratulations to the club which acknowledged it was a combined effort that saw them ascend to the top this year.
“We were recognised and awarded as a club and individually, and so many people made this season possible,” the club said.
“Massive thanks to the technical staff for their support and to the players who were immense and delivered week in, week out, and did with humility and the values of our club in mind.” Hills United President Tristan Rimmer was also praised for his role in the club’s huge success this season.
