Hills Relay 2025
The 24th Hills Relay For Life will energise Castle Hill Showground on Saturday, May 17th as thousands of people, walk and talk to raise money for cancer research and support programs.
The annual event is run by a Hills community committee in conjunction with the Cancer Council and over the years has raised nearly $6million. This year’s target is $300,000.
Highlights will be the opening lap for carers and survivors on Saturday at 10am followed by a special morning tea, all day entertainment, fun events, a box car rally and a decorated hat parade, activations at the Fightback Tent and stalls. There will also be food available around the track and coffee carts.
Sunday, will be dog morning from 8am when people registered in Hills Relay For Life are encouraged to bring their dogs. Sponsored by Sydney Animal Hospital, there will be pet prizes and also a dog demonstration by youth charity RuffTrack and their dogs.
The event finishes at 10am on Sunday. So far 65 teams have registered including schools, businesses, churches, service organisations and groups of families and friends. There will also be teams from the emergency services.
One of the youngest members of the organising committee is Year 12 Castle Hill High student Elyssa Tedesco who joined the organising committee after years of coming along to the event with her school team. She walks in memory of her much-loved grandmother.
