Hills Council to Spend $15m on new Indoor Sport Complex at The Gables
The Hills Shire Council has secured $15.5m for a new indoor sports complex as well as flood safety infrastructure, thanks to their successful nomination of projects through the WestInvest Local Government Allocation process.
$15m will go towards a new multi-purpose indoor sports and recreation complex for the growing Gables and Box Hill communities at the Horseworld site in Maguires Road.
$500,000 will go towards vital improvements to improved flood warning systems to assist residents in future flood events.
These are both incredible projects and they will be of great service to The Hills community in the years ahead.
“I would like to thank the NSW Government, specifically Premier Dom Perrottet and Treasurer Matt Kean MP for championing the WestInvest process and for supporting our grant nominations for the Horseworld and flood safety infrastructure projects.” said Hills Mayor Dr Peter Gangemi
