HEATHER DID IT!

Heather Lee reached her 100,000 step milestone with hours to spare at the Hawkesbury Relay For Life at the weekend.

The remarkable 91-year-old reached her goal just before 7am and then did a few more steps as fellow walkers rushed to have their photos taken with her and her walking partner Liz de Vries.

Lisa Henderson and Sarah Morgan both coaches at Curves North Richmond also hit the 100,000 steps goal just after Heather.

Hawkesbury Relay Chairwoman, Rebecca Talk said it was a wonderful community event with about 400 participants during the day.

The event raised close to $40,000. Hawkesbury Relay For Life is now just $14,000 short of raising $1.5million over 15 years for the Cancer Council.

Heather said she slept well on Sunday night and was out shopping on Monday.

She is now planning her next challenge,  the 3km, 5km and 10km race walks at the Pan Pacific Masters Games in November on the Gold Coast, just before her 92nd birthday.
