Seniors Festival Garden Party at Hawkesbury Central Library

Seniors Festival Garden Party

The Hawkesbury Library Service invites the community’s older folks for its Seniors Festival at the Deerubbin Centre garden on Thursday, 21 March 2024.

From 10:00 AM to noon, the Hawkesbury Library is hosting a Garden party in line with the state’s much bigger Senior’s Festival, which runs from 11 to 24 March. With this year’s theme, ‘Reach Beyond,’ the festival celebrates the crucial role and contributions of the older folks in the community.

Various activities, such as plant giveaways, games, information stalls, and live music from the ukulele trio ‘Three Degrees of Separation’, will be present. Morning tea will also be provided.

“Hawkesbury Library Service is encouraging older members of the Hawkesbury community to Reach Beyond their comfort zone to do something a little bit different, make new friends or catch up with old friends, over a game of giant chess,” the announcement mentioned.

The garden party is free, while interested attendees can make reservations online via Eventbrite: Seniors Festival – Garden Party. For difficulties booking online or for group bookings of more than 5, call the Hawkesbury Library Service on 4560 4460.

The NSW Department of Communities & Justice leads the more significant events, such as the Seniors Festival Expo, Premier’s Gala Concerts and Comedy Show, while local councils and community organisations manage the local events.
