Hawkesbury District RFS Volunteers Awarded for their Services
On Wednesday, 3rd November, the Hawkesbury District RFS held another medal ceremony to recognise further volunteers who rendered or sustained significant service during the 2019-20 Bush Fire Season.
Locally, the Hawkesbury District RFS saw their Volunteers working tirelessly to protect our community through the Gospers Mountain fire and other incidents, including deployments to other fires further afield.
During the ceremony, Volunteers who achieved periods of long service within the NSW RFS or service were also recognised for their commitment to the organisation and the community through the presentation of Long Service Medals.
Hawkesbury RFS congratulated all medal recipients and thanked them for their continued efforts protecting the community.
They also thanked the following dignitaries for joining them on the evening:
Susan Templeman MP and Reg Court represented Robyn Preston MP and Assistant Commissioner Matt Smith. Deputy Mayor, Barry Calvert, Cllrs Amanda Kotlash, Danielle Wheeler, Jill Reardon and Shane Djuric.
