Free Parent Forum

Clinical psychologist DR JOSEPHINE TERRY (pictured) is one of three speakers at a free Parent forum for parents of teenagers being held in Castle Hill on Wednesday, May 25th.

Titled: Is it Typical Teen Stuff or a Tipping Point, the forum will cover a range of topics that challenge parents of high school students.

Josephine from Mindworx Psychology works with children, teens and adults and has a wealth of experience in assessing and treating mental health problems and in working with families to improve relationships.

She is joining Clinical psychologist and Therapist Leanne Hall from the Youth Insearch Foundation for the Forum. Leanne specialises in working with teenagers, parents, and families from diverse backgrounds. She is also a television presenter, published author, and researcher.

Youth Liaison Officer at Castle Hill Police, Snr Cnst Ethan West will be the third speaker and will talk about what local issues and trends he is witnessing in his work.

The Forum will help parents and carers wanting to know more about identifying when their young person is displaying typical teenage behaviour, when they need help and how to get the right help.

There will be time after the three speakers to ask questions. The annual forum is being organised by the Hills Domestic Violence Prevention Network (HDVPN), an interagency of domestic violence workers, services and community members who work to prevent domestic and family violence, which has been running for 30 years.

This will be the network’s 8th Parent Forum. when: Wednesday 25th May, 6pm for a 6.30pm start finished by 9pm.
