Free Guided Bushwalks in Hornsby Shire
As autumn approaches, Hornsby Shire Council is excited to announce its schedule of free guided bushwalks, designed to provide a safe, educational, and enjoyable outdoor experience exclusively for Hornsby Shire residents.
The program caters to everyone, with a variety of events ranging from easy strolls for beginners to challenging hikes for seasoned bushwalking enthusiasts. Participants will gain valuable insights into the natural and cultural history of the Bushland Shire, thanks to knowledgeable guides and organizers.
Upcoming walks this autumn include the Cultural History bushwalk from Berowra Station to Waratah Bay, the Sphinx to Bobbin Head return hike in North Turramurra, a Wild Investigators activity for 7-12 year olds at Fagan Park in Galston, an Endangered Forest Walk in Cherrybrook, and a dog walk in Fagan Park.
Hornsby Shire Mayor Warren Waddell encourages residents to take advantage of this initiative, highlighting the opportunity to explore the area’s natural beauty and learn about local plants and wildlife from experts.
This program is part of Hornsby Shire Council’s ongoing effort to showcase the Bushland Shire throughout the seasons, with events announced three times a year.
Given their popularity, residents are advised to book early to secure their spots. For dates and further details on the autumn events, or to register, visit https://www.hornsby.nsw.gov.au/bushwalks.
