Free Dementia Awareness Forums
Free Dementia Awareness Forums will be held on Friday, 14 September at 12:45pm or Friday, 28 September at 6:30pm at the Tebbutt Room, Deerubbin Centre, 300 George Street, Windsor. These forums will be a great way to find out more about dementia, younger onset dementia, local services, and the importance of being engaged with your local community.
The forums will be of interest to anyone living with dementia, family and friends of people living with dementia, people concerned with memory loss and service providers
There will be presentations from GPs, geriatric psychiatry and aged care specialists as well information on how to refer and access services through NDIS and My Aged Care, practical tips to support people living with dementia, how to become a ‘Dementia Friend’. Carers will also be sharing their experiences.
