Flood Watch issued for Minor Flooding in the Hawkesbury River from Tuesday
The SES has advised that a low pressure Flood Watch trough in the far southwest of New South Wales has generated moderate rainfall and thunderstorms to most of the state during Monday and into Tuesday.
This rainfall may cause renewed minor to major flooding along rivers in parts of New South Wales inland catchments from Tuesday, many of which are experiencing ongoing flooding due to previous rainfall in recent months.
This weather system is also likely to affect several coastal catchments during Tuesday and Wednesday including Hawkesbury River, where minor flooding may develop from Tuesday into Wednesday.
This rainfall is likely to affect the Hawkesbury Nepean from Friday into the weekend. Low-lying areas along the Hawkesbury River may be impacted by floodwater.
