Fire Permits Required – 1st October to 31st March 2023
A reminder that now we are in the bushfire danger period (1 Oct 2022- 31 March 2023), and despite the wet weather, Fire permits to burn are required.
Residents of The Hills Council, need to email council via https://au.openforms.com/…/caa65d1d-ca3c-42e4-9e36…
to request approval to burn. Once you have received approval, contact your Brigade for a permit. We need to sight your approval before we can issue a permit. You will also need to give your neighbours 24 hours’ notice, as well as advise the RFS via www.rfs.nsw.gov.au/notify before you burn.
Residents of Hornsby council will need to obtain an EPA certificate from council via https://www.hornsby.nsw.gov.au/…/fire-permit-application
Once you have your certificate, contact your Brigade for a permit. We need to sight your certificate before a permit can be issued.
You will also need to give your neighbours 24 hours’ notice, as well as advise the RFS via www.rfs.nsw.gov.au/notify before you burn.
