Nominate for the Prime Minister’s Veterans’ Employment Award

The inaugural Prime Minister’s Veteran Employment awards next year will honour Australian businesses that are employing veterans and their spouses, as well as veterans who are making a significant contribution to their workplace.

The men and women who defend our nation and freedoms in the Australian Defence Force (ADF) learn valuable skills that are in demand in the modern workplace.

They are diligent, tech savvy, highly-trained professionals. Raising awareness about the unique skills and talents former ADF personnel can bring to a workplace is another way to honour the service and sacrifice of the people who defend our nation and values.

If you know a local business that employs veterans or a former ADF member who is doing outstanding work then please encourage them to nominate for an award.

To nominate an employer or a veteran employee for an award, visit www.veteransemployment.gov.au/awards. Nominations for the awards are now open and close at midnight on Friday 22 December 2017.
