FRIDAY 4 NOV –CAROLE KING’S TAPESTRY – IN CONCERT

Tapestry is the 2nd album recorded by American singer-songwriter Carole King, released in 1971 and is one of the best-selling albums of all time. With over 25 million copies sold worldwide; it received four Grammy Awards in 1972, including Album of the Year. King wrote or co-wrote all of the songs on the album, several of which had already been hits for other artists such as Aretha Franklin’s “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman” and The Shirelles’ “Will You Love Me Tomorrow” (in 1960).

Carole King’s Tapestry In Concert is a spectacular dinner and dance event that presents this quintessential Carole King album LIVE in a sophisticated, “true to the original sound” format, sung by Australian songstress Nicki Gillis.

Nicki Dee is one of Australia’s most successful female international touring artists. She has toured the UK, US, New Zealand and Germany. Her annual tours of the UK command full houses and have evolved from clubs to theatres where she coproduces her own hit shows such as “When Aussies Ruled Britannia”, “Ladies Rock” and “Tapestry – The Concert”. She is the recipient of numerous awards across all different genres of music including an Australian Industry Award for best Country Act, the prestigious Frank Ifield International Spur Award, a Golden Saddle Award and a Blue Mountains Blues/Jazz best entertainer Award.

FRI 26 NOVEMBER – CASTLE HILL BOWLING CLUB- NEIL DIAMOND THE MAN THE MUSIC

‘Neil Diamond – The Man, The Music’ tells the story of the man himself, from humble beginnings as the son of a shopkeeper through to being a genuine global superstar. The show features numerous interviews and behind the scenes stories of how some of Neil’s most loved songs actually came to be – all presented in Craig Stewart’s distinctly intimate style.

Featuring approximately 30 of Neil’s most loved hits – from Cracklin’ Rosie, I Am I Said & Sweet Caroline through to a special ‘Hot August Night’ tribute – audience members are left in no doubt as to why Craig Stewart is regarded as a ‘master craftsman’ and why he is the perfect choice to present the story of Neil Diamond. With more than 2000 shows to his credit, Stewart was described in a national music magazine as ‘one of the most listenable singers to emerge this century.’

This show is an intimate adventure with emotional highs and lows as we track the hardships and successes of Neil Diamond’s life.
