Behyard Jafari, CEO of the Electric Vehicle Council, will be the guest speaker at a community meeting at Glenhaven Community Centre on Tuesday, April 20 at 7.30pm.

Meeting organiser Riverstone GP Dr Kim Loo is a passionate about electric vehicles. “Electric vehicles do not emit any air pollution. My Nissan Leaf electric car has also saved me money. I have travelled over 22,000km since purchasing it last August. On average it costs me $20 to $30 per month to run. I use to spend $120 on petrol per month.”

About 50 people attended the last community meeting organised by The Hills Doctors Association and Hills4ClimateAction which discussed heat and what can be changed in the built environment to lower it.

Speakers were Professor Sebastian Pfautsch from Western Sydney University and Emma Bacon from Sweltering Cities.
