Man Arrested in Cherrybrook for Mid-Range Drink Driving
Officers from The Hills Police Area Command responded to an incident involving a silver Mitsubishi Pajero SUV at around 6:00 AM on the 3rd of November 2024, which had lost control at Hancock Drive, Cherrybrook.
The vehicle’s front passenger side was partially in a bush on the property. The driver, a male in his 30s, was unable to explain how the vehicle ended up in its position.
The driver was subjected to a roadside breath test, which returned a positive result. He was arrested and taken to Castle Hill Police Station, where a breath analysis indicated a reading of 0.082 grams of alcohol in 210 litres of breath.
The driver was issued with a Court Attendance Notice for mid-range drink driving at Parramatta Local Court next month.
The Hills Police reminds drivers of the danger of having booze in their system while behind the wheel:
“Drink driving is a serious offence that endangers lives. The Hills Highway Patrol is committed to keeping our roads safe by conducting regular random testing and enforcing strict penalties for offenders.”
“Remember, driving under the influence of alcohol impairs your ability to operate a vehicle safely and increases the risk of accidents. Stay safe and make responsible choices.”
