Community Infrastructure being delivered in The Hills

It is great to see several Community Infrastructure Projects being delivered.

The Balmoral Road Sports Complex at Kellyville was officially opened Friday 22 July 2022. I was there at the sod turning in March 2021. Unfortunately, I could not be there at the official opening ceremony.

The reserve has four multi-purpose fields for AFL and Soccer including two cricket ovals, and four tennis courts and two multi-use ball courts including lighting. It has an amenities building containing change rooms, public toilets, a kiosk, and a meeting room.

A separate building within the park will provide storage for sports clubs. There is car parking for 245 cars, including 6 DDA spaces. Additionally, the park includes a playground and picnic facilities. It also has an extensive pedestrian and cycling path. There is low energy lighting and water recycling, with preservation and enhancement of the existing woodland on the eastern boundary of the park.

The Waves Aquatic Centre Upgrade which was first proposed in 2017 has finally been delivered with the official opening taking place on Saturday 3 September. It offers a vibrant social and recreational hub for the community. There are several pools, exercise areas, as well as spa, sauna and steam room facilities.

Reminder that Parents NSW Vouchers are available until 9 October 2022. There are 5 x $50 Parents NSW Vouchers available for each eligible household and can be used 7 days a week for entertainment, recreation activities and accommodation bookings
