Christmas Domestic Violence Assault
At around 6:00 AM, yesterday on Christmas, a 28-year-old woman arrived home heavily intoxicated and woke her housemates, a 29-year-old woman and a 20-year-old woman. The Hills Police Area Command say a verbal argument ensued, escalating to a physical altercation.
The 28-year-old woman then allegedly physically assaulted the 29-year-old woman, causing her to fall onto the shattered glass and sustain significant injuries to her leg and foot.
Hills PAC officers and NSW Ambulance responded to the scene. The 28-year-old woman attempted to avoid arrest by throwing a light projector at an officer, leading to a violent confrontation. A taser was drawn but not discharged. The woman was eventually subdued and taken into custody.
The charges are as follows:
- Reckless wounding (DV)
- 2 counts of Assault police officer in execution of duty causing actual bodily harm
- 2 counts of Hinder or resist police officer in execution of duty

An ADVO was granted for the protection of the 29-year-old woman. The 28-year-old woman was refused bail and is scheduled to appear at Parramatta Local Court on 26 December 2024.
