Get ready for a lively evening by the river as Australia Day on the Hawkesbury returns on Sunday, 26 January 2025! From 5pm to 9pm at Governor Phillip Park, Windsor, this family-friendly event is a perfect way to celebrate with your loved ones amidst stunning river views.

Join the fun with hilarious MC Farmer Dave, and look out for this year’s highlights—an Ultimate Cricket Game and the beloved thong-throwing championship, where competitors vie for the coveted Golden Thong trophy. Be sure to sign up at the council tent to join in!

The evening will also feature a fantastic fireworks display at 9pm, alongside live entertainment, delicious food stalls, carnival rides, and free face painting for the kids. Plus, there’ll be an Emergency Services Display to check out.

This is a dog-friendly event, so bring your furry friends along (just keep them on a lead). Don’t forget your picnic rugs and chairs, but please leave portable shelters at home to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

As an added bonus, the Australia Day Awards and Citizenship Ceremony will take place at the Council Administration building. Mark your calendars and let’s make this Australia Day one to remember!
