Cat Conservation Centre welcomes new cheetah cubs
The Wild Cat Conservation Centre is located in the beautiful Hawkesbury valley, one hour north west of Sydney.
The centre in Wilberforce focuses on the preservation and conservation of wild cats of the world, including the only conservation breeding program for Clouded Leopard and Cheetah in Sydney.
Of the 40 cat species, 33 are considered small cats and many of these are threatened with a real lack of knowledge about their behaviour, biology and conservation.
Recently visited by local Federal MP, Susan Templeman, she commented “On this visit I was able to say hello to the gorgeous seven-week-old baby cheetahs. These tiny cats are the first Cheetah cubs born in Sydney and thanks to the conservation focus of Ben, Kahlia and their team have, they have the potential to be released into the wild one day”.
