Caddies Creek Reserve Football Upgrade
The Hills Shire Council has announced a new partnership that will see Caddies Creek Reserve in Beaumont Hills developed into an elite football facility.
Under a Memorandum of Understanding to be signed with Hills Football Incorporated and Hills United Football Club, the agreement follows Council’s call for expressions of interest to secure a long-term premier football partner for the site as part of its Stage 2 works.
Mayor of The Hills Shire, Dr Michelle Byrne, said the project would establish Caddies Creek Reserve as the region’s leading football venue. “Caddies Creek Reserve will become the home of football in The Hills,” she said, adding that the reserve would join other local premier sporting facilities for basketball, tennis, AFL, cricket, athletics, baseball, BMX, hockey, netball, and rugby league.
Once Stage 2 is complete, the reserve will feature four additional full-sized football fields, small-sided football fields, an amenities building, car park, and access from Windsor Road and Sanctuary Drive.
Hills Football Incorporated, which oversees association football, futsal, and small-sided football in The Hills, described the development as a major step forward. General Manager Charlotte Ercil said access to a venue like Caddies Creek Reserve “will only increase our offerings to our clubs, players, volunteers, referees, coaches, and spectators,” and thanked Council for its support.
Hills United Football Club, the only Hills-based club competing in the Football NSW Premier League System, also welcomed the partnership. Club President Tristan Rimmer said, “We have long dreamed of being able to represent the Hills Football community within the Hills LGA and soon this dream will be realised.”
Beyond football, Council confirmed that the upgraded reserve would remain open for general community use outside of Hills United FC’s allocation.
Caddies Creek Reserve currently includes three full-sized football fields, a baseball diamond, two amenities buildings, a playground, a car park, and a shared pathway network.
The Draft Master Plan for Caddies Creek Sports Complex – Stage 2 was adopted in October 2021.
