Author Talk: Dinuka McKenzie and her latest crime-mystery novel

Take part in a late-morning chat with author Dinuka McKenzie at the Hawkesbury Central Library on Tuesday, 13 February 2024.

From 11:00 AM to noon, McKenzie will discuss her latest book, Tipping Pointfirst released on Wednesday, 31 January 2024. As the third part of her Detective Kate Miles crime fiction series, the 355-page long crime-mystery novel features protagonist Detective Sergeant Kate Miles finding clues on a series of mysterious deaths of three men.

Dinuka McKenzie is also the author of The Torrent (2022), Dark Deeds Down Under: A Crime & Thriller Anthology (2022), and Taken (2023). 

“Dinuka McKenzie is an Australian writer and book addict. Her debut crime fiction novel, The Torrent, won the HarperCollins Australia 2020 Banjo Prize and was published in February 2022. She is represented by Alex Adsett Literary,” the author’s bio note mentioned.

“When not writing, Dinuka works in the environmental sector and volunteers as part of the team behind the Writers Unleashed Festival. She lives in Southern Sydney with her husband, two kids and their pet chicken.”
