Join Author Reece Carter in a Writing Workshop

Mark your diaries as writer Reece Carter will hold a writing workshop at the Castle Hill Library on Wednesday, 4 October 2023.

During the session, attendees will learn the basics of creating spooky characters for their soon-to-be horror stories. There will be a book signing and books for sale after the workshop. The session is suitable for children from ages three to six.

His book, A Girl Called Corpse, has been recognised in awards such as the QBD Books’ Children’s Book of the Year 2022 and Dymocks Booksellers’ Children’s Book of the Month in October 2022, and shortlisted in the Australia Book Industry Awards for the Book of the Year for Younger Children in 2023.

The book is named The Girl, the Ghost and the Lost Name in the United Kingdom.

The workshop starts at 10:30 AM and ends at 11:30 AM. Tickets cost $15.50. Slots can be booked online via Eventbrite: Writing Workshop – Spooky Characters with Reece Carter.

Born in Western Australia, Reece Carter’s upcoming book called The Lonely Lighthouse of Elston-Fright is set to launch in Australia and New Zealand in October this year.
