Celebrate Australia Day

BY THE MACDONALD RIVER IN THE NORTHERN HAWKESBURY 9.30am to 1.30pm

Now in their 4th year, and with well over 1000 followers on Facebook and even more on Instagram, St Albans Village market has well and truly established itself on the Hawkesbury market trail for locals and visitors alike. It’s a great day trip for your family and friends.

With a Misting Tunnel plus giant kids games in the shade with dedicated seating, plus plenty of under cover area to enjoy your breakfast, brunch or lunch.

If you are coming from Sydney, and after breath-taking, magnificent views of the valley, you descend into Wisemans Ferry, turn LEFT past the Police Station for 200m and alight the WEBBS CREEK FERRY. It’s 24/7 and it’s free.

On your 21km drive along sealed & scenic St Albans Rd, you are surrounded by wilderness and it certainly gives you the feeling that nothing much has changed over the years; the sense of history and the natural beauty of the region makes St Albans an idyllic destination.

So, take a meandering drive beside the Macdonald River to the village of St Albans. There’s an awesome kids park opposite, plus our two fully licensed local institutions – the iconic convict built Settlers Arms Inn and the Pickled Wombat Café.
