Aussie interns … a great career
Local company, Australian Pump Industries is looking to recruit school leavers and undergraduates as marketing and sales interns. Aussie Pumps, located on 2.1/2 acre in the Victoria Park business district, is growing so fast they need more people and they need them now!
“Being an intern is a great way of studying and gaining work experience simultaneously. We call it ‘learn as you work’,” said Aussie Pump’s Brad Farrugia. “Marketing interns, supported with our in-house training program develop into Product Management roles”, he said.
Working in conjunction with the marketing department and experienced product managers, interns are given ownership of a particular product range. Through market research they develop an understanding of the products’ application and suitability.
Interns play a vital part in building marketing programmes, product development and even media management.
“We need energetic students with intelligence, resolve and integrity. Ethics is also a vital part of the role as everything we do here is about helping people operate in a smarter and safer way with pressure cleaners and pumps that we produce”, he said.
