Are you Windsor’s garden great?

Do you consider yourself green fingered or thumbed? Do you love nothing more than spending the weekends in the garden?

Whether it’s a patch, plot or acre that you like to prune solo or with your community, the Yellow Pages and White Pages is calling for you. In partnership with the Australian City Farms and Community Gardens Network (ACFCGN), the Yellow Pages and White Pages is celebrating the nation’s love for gardening in a move that will see the Windsor 2017/18 directory cover used to showcase the area’s gardening king or queen. From now until midnight 21st September, a competition will be running to find Windsor’s garden-loving cover star or stars. By simply sharing an image of your beloved garden and telling us your best gardening tip, you will be one step closer to being crowned Windsor’s Garden Great.

Since every garden is special, they are looking for gardens of all shapes, sizes, colour, and of course accompanying stories. The best entrant will be judged on the creativity of their garden and submitted gardening tip by a panel of judges.

Not only do gardens make communities healthier, but also more sustainable, more connected and of course, more beautiful too. Community gardens bring people of all ages and nationalities together to not only grow organic produce but also to engage, teach and nourish all who visit
