Arcadia Women’s Shed

The April Women’s Shed gathering in Arcadia hosted facilitator Brad Ferreira from Ignite Music in Dural with an African Drumming session.

We learnt about the drum’s form and function and how to engage rhythmically with these engaging Djembe drums that were originally used to send messages over distance.

The Women’s Shed is held on the third Thursday of the month from 10am till 12. Participants can enjoy a creative project each month with a welcoming group of women and a friendly chat over morning tea.
