An orchid show that is anything but Vanilla
A real showstopper is on its way to the Hawkesbury and it’s sure to grab the attention of people from all walks of life and ages, from orchid aficionados, photographers and artists to families, couples and singles; anyone just wanting to see a feast of colour and splendour before their eyes.
Hawkesbury City Council is proud to support the 21st Australian Orchid Council Conference and Show which will be hosted by the Orchid Society of NSW from Friday, 20 July to Sunday, 22 July 2018 at Hawkesbury Indoor Stadium, 16 Stewart St, South Windsor, NSW.
The President of NSW Orchid Society, Irene Chalmers said the YMCA Hawkesbury Indoor Stadium was chosen as a particularly suitable venue for the Show with its ample parking and spacious area for plant displays.
“We are really excited about this international event that will give the public a chance to see rare and exotic orchids,” she said.
“We are also providing bus tours to show off the historic Windsor-Richmond area, as well as to the nearby Blue Mountains where orchids will be flowering.”
This unique event will showcase sensational international and local orchids but not only this, the Orchid Society of NSW is determined to see local chefs and cafés put vanilla on the menu.
