Alive and Fun
There is a lot of expense in running a radio station. Our yearly expenses are increasing and for the financial year just finished totalled $75,000.
It means we have to be very diligent with the income we receive in the form of grants, sponsorships, membership and air fees. Fortunately, we have a very proactive fund-raising committee who experienced great success and fun at our last Bunnings sausage sizzle at Seven Hills.
Although the day was exhausting, the number of dedicated volunteers who manned the stalls showed just how committed our members are. Not only did they donate their time and energy, many also donated cakes, drinks and chopped onions keeping expenses down and allowing a very healthy profit close to $3,000.
