A Nature Themed Reserve for North Kellyville

A brand-new nature themed reserve has been proposed for North Kellyville and The Hills Shire Council is encouraging residents to “have their say”. Withers Road Reserve will feature a playground catering to a wide range of age groups and abilities, along with a picnic area and turf kick-about space.

In addition to this, concrete pathways are located throughout the site, including a loop track around the playground, which is suitable for scooters and bikes. Security lighting has also been proposed.

Mayor of The Hills Shire Council, Dr Peter Gangemi said the new Reserve will be an exciting addition to the nature inspired park recently completed at Equinox Drive in Box Hill.

“This new Reserve will be a place where children can play, learn and explore, and where families and residents can appreciate the natural environment. The pandemic has highlighted how important our parks and playgrounds are to our residents for sport and outdoor recreation, and I’m happy to see plans underway for a new local park,” he said.

Residents can have their say by making an online submission via Council’s website www.thehills.nsw.gov.au by 4.30pm on 14th March 2022. Simply click on the “What’s Happening” tab and then click on “Current Plans on Exhibition”.
