Discover The Northern Hawkesbury

Treat yourself, family & friends with a country drive to a true farmers market, great coffee, an awesome kids park, plus our two nearby fully licensed local institutions – the iconic convict-built Settlers Arms Inn and the Pickled Wombat Café.

This month the Dharug & Lower Hawkesbury Historical Society will be on hand to assist with local history research.

It’s a thoroughly enjoyable day visiting historic St Albans – just 90 mins from Sydney, the Central Coast, & the Blue Mountains, with a step back in time to a quieter, more gentle era.

If you are coming from Sydney, after breath-taking, magnificent views of the valley, you descend into Wisemans Ferry, turn LEFT past the Police Station for 200m and alight the WEBBS CREEK FERRY.

It’s 24/7 and it’s free. To get there firstly set your GPS to include Ferries – then once across the river, take a meandering drive beside the Macdonald River to the village of St Albans.

On your 21km drive to St Albans, you are surrounded by both farms and wilderness and it certainly gives you the feeling that nothing much has changed over the years; the sense of history and the natural beauty of the region makes St Albans an idyllic destination. 10am – 2pm
