Latest update on flood levels – 3rd March 2022

flood levels STATUS UPDATE 3: North Richmond has briefly peaked at 12.9m this morning but is still fluctuating just below that level. Windsor has not yet peaked, it is at 10.98m and rising.

There are still some small rises coming through Penrith and Castlereagh, but otherwise upstream readings are steady or falling.

The heavier rain has so far missed the catchment/basin, image 1, tracking NE of us, with the heavier falls being experienced around Newcastle and the Hunter, image 2.

There is still a tail in the rain system that is likely to go over the catchment later today. This could cause some further rises this evening and tomorrow.

The BOM have revised down their maximum levels for Sackville and Lower Portland though, which is positive, and are no longer predicting a maximum level for North Richmond, just advising renewed rises are possible. This will be dependent on that rain system.
