Vera Living Opens Accessible Apartments in Rouse Hill
Vera Living has officially opened its new Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) apartments in Rouse Hill, providing purpose-built homes for people with high physical support needs.
The apartments were unveiled during an open day event, attended by community members, local organisations, and Deputy Mayor of The Hills Shire, Frank De Masi, who described the project as a benchmark for accessible housing in the region.
“These apartments represent an outstanding achievement in creating inclusive, community-focused housing,” Deputy Mayor De Masi said.
“Innovative developments like this empower people with disability to live more independently while staying connected to their local community.”
Developed in partnership with Supported Independent Living provider Nextt, the new apartments feature advanced accessibility features designed to give NDIS participants greater choice and control over their living environment.
CEO Jacob Collier said the project reflects the organisation’s commitment to reimagining SDA standards.
“At Vera Living, we believe SDA should be more than just housing,” Mr Collier said.
“These apartments are thoughtfully designed spaces where participants can live with dignity and be empowered to live life the way they choose.”
Guests at the open day were given guided tours of the apartments and an opportunity to speak with Vera Living’s team about the organisation’s approach to supporting NDIS participants.
Vera Living said it continues to work closely with participants, families, and support networks to deliver SDA homes across Rouse Hill and other locations, focusing on quality, flexibility, and better life outcomes.
