Bella Vista Farm will be transformed into a large-scale immersive sound and light experience this September, as part of The Hills Shire Council’s 2025 Orange Blossom Festival.

The month-long activation, Echoes – Luna Light Journey, will reimagine the farm’s history through custom light installations, soundscapes, and special effects. Audiences will explore the cultural and agricultural heritage of the site — from the Dharug people’s connection to the land and sky, to the stories of early European settlers and the citrus orchards that once flourished in the region.

Developed in partnership with international events company Laservision, the experience is set to be the first of its kind in The Hills. Laservision, based in Dural, is known globally for its award-winning productions in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Dubai, as well as for its Luna Light Journeys that have toured across Australia since 2021.

Hills Shire Mayor Dr Michelle Byrne said the project is expected to be a major drawcard for the community.

“This is the first time we’re hosting an immersive experience of this kind,” she said. “It’s a chance for residents and visitors to see Bella Vista Farm in a completely new light, and we’re excited to work with a local company to make it happen.”

Visitors will walk a curated trail through the heritage site, including a reimagined convict road, glowing farms and flower fields, and scenes depicting the lives of Elizabeth and John Macarthur, known for their role in developing Australia’s wool industry.

Echoes will run nightly from Friday 5 September to Monday 6 October, with timed entry from 6:15pm every 15 minutes. The full experience is expected to take 45 to 75 minutes to explore.

Ticket prices:
• Adults – $17.50
• Children (3–17) – $12.50
• Family (2 adults + 2 kids or 1 adult + 3 kids) – $49
• Infants (0–2) – Free

Tickets are available via www.echoesbellavista.com.au. Attendees are encouraged to book early.

Limited parking will be available on-site. Public transport options include Bella Vista and Norwest Metro Stations, both within a 15-minute walk from the venue.

Further events in the 2025 Orange Blossom Festival program will be announced soon.
