Wisemans Ferry RFB is on the lookout for new recruits
As firefighters continue fighting active fires during the bushfire season, Wisemans Ferry Rural Fire Brigade is looking for the next set of recruits on Saturday, 21 October 2023.
While fighting fires is the quintessential role in the Brigade, interested volunteers can choose a multitude of vital positions they deem themselves fit during the RFB’s Open Day, which runs from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
Individuals can have the chance to discuss with the Brigade’s staff and firefighters over free sausage sandwiches.
“Our valley has been through tough times in the last few years and Wisemans Ferry RFS has been doing everything we can to support the community, but we could always use more help!” the Facebook announcement stated.
“There’s so much more to the RFS than just running towards fires and rising flood waters. We can use any skillset you have to offer, whether it’s community engagement, catering, fundraising, communications, or logistics – we have a job for everyone.”
The Rural Fire Brigade is located at 5557 Old Northern Road in Wisemans Ferry, NSW, 2775.
