Help us support our Community

Local community newspapers are finding it harder than ever to produce local news and promote local events due to constant rising costs. Local businesses are supportive, but we need to diversify our income base to survive longer term. The paper has been running for year 50 years and it has done that by adapting. Print costs keep increasing, staff wages go up each year and we now have to publish online as well with little increase in advertising dollars.

Many local papers are moving to paywall models, which we personally don’t support. We believe all local news should be free and accessible to all people. Our community news stories help promote
