Bushfires in Hawkesbury Now Contained

Lined Circle

Rain over the past few days has given fire crews a much-needed reprieve across parts of NSW, particularly in the Parr State Conservation Area in Hawkesbury, where four bushfires are being held under control since the NSW Rural Fire Service (NSW RFS) reported on Monday, 6 January 2025.

The four bushfires are the Budda Creek Fire, Womerah South Fire, Devils Hole Fire, and Rush Creek Colo Heights Fire. The Devils Hole Fire is still being contained by firefighters, but the rest have been contained. The fires are burning in remote terrain, and there is no immediate threat to nearby communities.

Residents are still advised to stay alert, monitor their surroundings, watch out for emergency services personnel and follow their instructions. Fire crews will still patrol the area over the coming days and keep watch on the firegrounds.
